Medication Quarantine
The quarantine inventory is used to store controlled substances that are outdated, damaged, deteriorated, misbranded, or adulterated, or that are in immediate or sealed, secondary containers that have been opened.
Transferring Products
To transfer a medication to the quarantine inventory, you will follow the same steps as a Medication Transfer, but select "Quarantine" as the destination inventory.
Once the transfer is initiated, you will select the product you wish to transfer to quarantine

- If you have more than 1 NDC for the drug you are selecting, please find the NDC on vial packaging and confirm before proceeding.
After entering your product(s), proceed to the signatures page to finalize
Once a product is successfully transferred to the quarantine inventory, you now have the ability to complete a DEA Form 41 for it's destruction.
Quick Transfer of Expired Products (Web Only)
When accessing S2 from the web, you will select the "Expired" tab from the home dashboard to bring up a list of all expired inventory products.
1) The quarantine inventory will automatically be selected as the destination
2) Select the inventory and product(s) you wish to quarantine
3) Review the products to be transferred and click "next"
4) Complete verification
