Transfers Using Control Values
Box Seal Feature - Reseal on Transfer
General Transfers (From Station or Truck)
1) Navigate to the "Transfers" page from the inventory you want to transfer FROM, then select "Add Transfer"
Inventories > [Inventory Name] > Transfers
2) Choose the inventory that you will be transferring TO
3) Scan the GS1 barcode for the product to be transferred & enter quantity
- Multiple products can be added to a single transfer
If you do not have access to the GS1 barcode, select "Manual Entry"
- Select Product
- Select NDC
- Select Lot # & Expiration
4) Finalize with signatures
- Depending on agency configuration, this may be either one or two signatures.
Station Transfers - Alternate Method (Web Only)
If using S2 from a computer, you can initiate a transfer from a station inventory to a truck inventory using the "Restock" tab from the home page
After selecting "Restock", you will be brought to a page that shows all inventories both at and under PAR. From here, select the station inventory you wish to transfer FROM, and the truck inventory you wish to transfer TO.
Once selected, it will initiate a transfer for that inventory, noting the products under PAR:
You may now complete the transfer as noted in steps 3 & 4 of the General Transfers section above.
Control Values - Station Transfer
- This type of transfer is used when transferring medications from a station inventory in which control values have not yet been assigned.
1) Initiate a transfer from your station inventory & choose the inventory that you will be transferring to
- Refer to Steps 1 - 3 of the General Transfers section above
2) Assign a control value for each product added
- Control values can be scanned or manually typed when assigning
3) Finalize with signatures
Control Values - Truck to Truck Transfers
- This type of transfer will be used when transferring medications from one truck's inventory to another after control values have already been assigned
1) Initiate a transfer from the truck inventory you are transferring from & choose the inventory that you will be transferring to
- Refer to Steps 1 - 3 of the General Transfers section above
2) Scan or manually type the Control Value(s) of the medication(s) to be transferred
3) Finalize with signatures
Box Seal Feature
If your agency uses box seals and has the above feature turned on, you will complete your transfers as they relate above with the added step of scanning or typing in the new seal number that you will be resealing your box with.
- You can choose to reseal either inventory or skip reseal
