Completing a Shift Change

Shift Change - General

1) Add a new Shift Change from the desired inventory

Inventories > Desired Inventory > Shift Change > Add Shift Change

Note: If you are actively in possession of the drugs, you can start a shift change directly from the "Drugs on Hand" screen by selecting "Shift Change". 

 

Non-Possession PQA:

With this feature turned on, you can initiate a shift change directly from the home screen:

Select Shift Change > Choose an inventory > Tap or click on "create"

 

2) Enter the quantity of each product then click "next"

 

3) Verify With Signatures

• Signatures are provided by both the oncoming and off going paramedics via PIN entry (or manual signature if configured).

• Once the shift change is successful, the oncoming crew will be able to view the "Drugs on Hand" for that inventory at the main menu. 

• • To get back to this menu at any time, tap or click on the "Schedule2.IT" title at the top of the screen

 

Utilizing the Out of Service feature:

• Off Going Crew: 
  1) Click on the "out of service" tab as seen above. 
  2) Select an out of service location from the provided list of options. 
  3) Provide off going signature
• Oncoming Crew: Only requires an oncoming signature (will show off going as "out of service")

Shift Change Using Control Values

1) Add a new Shift Change from the desired inventory

Inventories > Desired Inventory > Shift Change > Add Shift Change

Note: If you are actively in possession of the drugs, you can start a shift change directly from the "Drugs on Hand" screen by selecting "Shift Change". 

• Be sure to click on "Allow" to give the app access to your smart phone's camera if you will be scanning control values.

 

Non-Possession PQA:

With this feature turned on, you can initiate a shift change directly from the home screen:

Select Shift Change > Choose an inventory > Tap or click on "create"

 

2) Scan or select the control values present in your inventory, then click "next"

• If your control values do not have scannable barcodes, you can manually select them by tapping or clicking on each one. 
• The control values will turn green as they are successfully scanned or selected.

 

3) Verify With Signatures

• Signatures are provided by both the oncoming and off going paramedics via PIN entry (or manual signature if configured).
• Once the shift change is successful, the oncoming crew will be able to view the "Drugs on Hand" for that inventory at the main menu.

2) Select an out of service location from the provided list of options. 
3) Provide off going signature

Shift Change Using Box Seals

1) Add a new Shift Change from the desired inventory

Inventories > Desired Inventory > Shift Change > Add Shift Change

Non-Possession PQA:

With this feature turned on, you can initiate a shift change directly from the home screen:

Select Shift Change > Choose an inventory > Tap or click on "create"

When using box seals, you will also be able to scan the barcode or enter the seal number without having to select an inventory to initiate the shift change when this feature is turned on, as long as the seal is unbroken.

 

2) Scan Barcode on Box Seal or Enter Box Seal Number

Seal Unbroken:

• Proceed to verification signatures
  
  

Seal Broken / Agency Requires Reseal at Shift Change: 

1. Scan new seal number
2. Count vials

Note: Depending on agency configuration, a second seal number may be required during this step

3) Verify With Signatures
