Shift Change when not already in Possession

This article will explain how to take possession of a controlled substance inventory when you aren't already in possession like checking it out from an out of service location.

With this feature turned on, you can initiate a shift change directly from the home screen:

2) Enter the quantity of each product then click "next"

3) Verify With Signatures

  • Signatures are provided by both the oncoming and off going paramedics via PIN entry (or manual signature if configured).
  • Once the shift change is successful, the oncoming crew will be able to view the "Drugs on Hand" for that inventory at the main menu. 
    • To get back to this menu at any time, tap or click on the "Schedule2.IT" title at the top of the screen or the HOME button in the bottom left.

 

This workflow demonstrates when your agency is using seals:

When using box seals, you will also be able to scan the barcode or enter the seal number without having to select an inventory to initiate the shift change when this feature is turned on, as long as the seal is unbroken.
