Setting and Overriding PAR Levels
To set overall PAR levels for Station and Truck inventories:
Dropdown Menu > Admin > Inventory > Set PAR Levels
- OR -
From the inventory dashboard, click on the "Change" tab in the Stock Level column
PAR levels are based on milligram or microgram amounts. The PAR range is anything between the minimum and maximum value set.
For example, the product seen above (fentanyl) will show as outside of PAR range for a station inventory if falls below1000 mcg or exceeds 10,000 mcg.
- A product will show the following indicators in the inventory dashboard relative to the PAR levels set:
Overriding a PAR Level for a Specific Inventory
In the case you wish for the PAR levels of a specific inventory to differ from the overall PAR levels, follow these steps:
1) From the Inventory Dashboard, click on the "Edit" icon to the left of the inventory you wish to change the PAR level for.
2) Navigate to the "PAR Levels" menu & select "Override"
3) Change PAR levels to desired quantities & click "Save"
Modifying the PAR levels through this method will only affect the specific inventory you selected.
Undoing a PAR Level Override
If you want to undo an override of a PAR level, first navigate back to the PAR Levels menu for that inventory (see steps 1 & 2 of Overriding a PAR Level for a Specific Inventory)
At this menu, you will see the option of "Undo Override" if a PAR level has been overridden for a medication. Click on this tab to reset the PAR level to the overall PAR level amounts for that medication.
- You can tell which levels (maximum, minimum, or both) have been overridden by a caution indicator.
