1) If you are possession of an inventory:
-Select Narc Use on home screen (Or your agency term for this action)

If you are not in possession of an inventory:
-Select Menu>Inventories>Click on inventory>Narc Use (Or agency term)

2) Enter Amounts

  • # of vials used
  • Dosage of medication administered + wasted
  • Run # (optional)
    • Your agency may require you to enter the run number for the call you administered the medication. Please refer to your agency's SOP on whether or not this is needed.

3) Documentation Requirements (NAEMSP Informative Article)

  • Enter Designated Waste location per your agency protocol. (1304.27.7) 
  • Enter Run Number if required by your agency protocol.
  • Enter "Standing" or "Verbal" orders to administer. (1304.27.10)

4) Verify with signatures

  • PIN will be entered by the administering paramedic first and the witness second
  • Depending on agency configuration, a manual nurse signature may be used for the witness (i.e. your agency allows non-agency personnel to witness waste)
